TPONTP CHAPTER 6!

"Protect you?" Dean asked clearly confused. "From what?"

"I don't know. She just said that it would protect me, and that I should never take it off." Alex looked away from them again.

"Dean." Sam walked over to the door and Dean followed. They started whispering to each other, so Alex couldn't hear them.

"Why don't you go check out her house. I'll stay here with her and see if I can find a girl fitting that description."

"Alright, but I don't where she even lives. It's not like I can just snap my fingers and, poof, I'm there."

"Then we'll ask her, smart*ss." Sam turned toward Alex no longer whispering. "Alex?"

"What?"

"Could you write down your address on a piece of paper?"

"Uh...Yeah, but don't you already have that information?" Alex was slightly confused as they glanced. "I mean you are cops, right?"

"We are, but the thing is we're under cover right now." Dean explained.

"Yeah," Sam added, "And our car doesn't have that equipment in it."

"Oh, okay." Alex shrugged and walked over to the night stand. She grabbed a piece of paper and started writing on it. "Here ya go." She handed the paper to them.

Dean grabbed the piece of paper and looked at the address. "Thanks. Um, he's going to stay her with you, while I go check out your house." Dean said as he pointed to Sam.

"We want to make sure that your safe, so we can't leave you alone." Sam explained to her. "You don't mind, do you?"

"No, not all. I was actually just about to take a shower."

Sam decided now would be a opportunity to ask her, "Could I use your computer for a little bit?"

Alex nodded her head. "Sure."

After she went into the bathroom with her backpack, Dean turned towards Sam. Once he heard the water running, he started talking.

"I'll check to see if her mother had a diary or something."

"Dean!" Sam said disapprovingly.

Dean rolled his eyes. "If she had a diary, maybe it'll explain what that symbol means." Sam didn't say anything in response. "You thought that I was going to let you do all of the work, didn't you?"

"Whatever. I'll call you if I find out where this girl is buried."

"Alright. Make sure that she doesn't take off that necklace." Dean warned his brother.

With that, Dean left the room and hopped into his car, then Sam closed the door behind him and set up the laptop at the table. He started doing research right away. He was looking at the different obits, trying to find a girl that fits the description. As he was looking at the a girl that came close to the description, he heard a scream come from the bathroom.

Alex ran out of the bathroom whimpering and fell on the floor, now dressed in shorts and a loose t-shirt. Sam rushed over to her side and helped her up, as she panted and winced.

"What happened? Are you alright?" Sam asked as he checked to see if she had any injuries.

"No! I'm not all right!" Alex cried.

Alex groaned, trying to catch her breath, as Sam checked the bathroom for the spirit she talked about, but didn't see anything.

"It's okay." He reassured her after he walked out of the bathroom. "Just calm down."

Alex was sitting down now on her bed. She was breathing heavily. Sam stood in front of her. "Alex, I need you to tell me exactly happened."

"Okay. I w-was done taking a-a s-shower and I w-was...um-shaving my l-legs, w-when it happened." She stuttered looking a little ashamed.

"When what happened?" Sam whispered as he crouched down in front of her.

"I...I...I shaved off my skin!" Alex pointed to her bloody ankle on her left foot.

Sam sat there with a straight face. "...Oh." He was expecting a spirit or a
demon, not this.

Alex looked up at him in shock. "OH?! What's that supposed to mean?!" She snapped. "I just shaved off my skin and I'm bleeding all over the place!"

She pointed to the floor and fell backwards groaning in pain. It was then that Sam then noticed all of the blood every where. There was a trail from the bathroom to her foot.

"Wow. Okay...um." Sam started Looking for something to stop the bleeding. "I got an idea!" He unbuttoned his shirt, took it off, and ripped off one of the sleeves. He then wrapped it around her ankle twice and tied it tightly. From experience, he knew that you had to put pressure on a wound to stop the bleeding, but that caused her to suck in a sharp breath through her teeth. "Sorry." He said as he finished off tying up her ankle.

"That'll have to do for now. I'll call Dean and tell him to buy some bandages." He said as he Lifted her legs up onto the bed. "Here. Why don't you get some rest. Okay?"

Alex sighed and winced her foot was rested on a pillow. "Yeah, okay."

After she fell asleep, Sam called Dean's cell phone and started cleaning up the blood.

"Yeah?" Dean said as he answered his phone.

"Hey could you pick up some bandages on your way back?"

"What happened? Did the spirit attack her?" Dean asked worried.

"No, I'll explain later. Can you pick it up or not?"

"Yeah, sure. Hey, did you find out anything on that dead chick?"

Sam sighed as he glanced at the still open laptop. "Not yet. I've been busy trying to calm her down. Are you there yet?"

"Yeah, but there's a car in the drive way and a cop parked out front." Dean was sitting in his car, parked a couple houses over from Alex's.

"Maybe it's her dad." Sam suggested. "Do you think that she ran away?"

"Oh yeah." Dean said as he noticed the father resting his hands on his hips as he argued with the cop. "He doesn't look too happy right now."

Sam finished cleaning up what he could of the blood on the floor. He then went over to the laptop and continued his research.

"Hey could you also pick up some carpet cleaner?" Sam said, glancing at the stain on the motel room floor.

Dean's eyes widened as he wondered what was going on. "Sam! Seriously, man. What happened?"

"It's nothing. I'll let know when you get back." Sam reassured his concerned, older brother.

Dean sighed as he watched the cop leave and Alex's father storm back inside the house. "Fine."

Sam was going through the obits and stopped when he found a perfect match. "Hey!"

"What? You find something?" Dean asked.

"I think I found out who the girl is." Sam said, looking at the computer screen and studying it carefully. "Mary Roff."

"Why do you think it's her?" Dean asked. "I mean, other then the description that Alex gave us."

"Well," Sam began, "Apparently she lived twice. Once in her own body and then in a another body."

"What? Reincarnation?" Dean suggested.

Sam shook his head. "No. In January 1878, she possessed a 13-year-old girl, Lurancy Vennum. Mary wanted to see her family again, so the Vennums let her live with them until she left in May."

"So, why do you think she's back now? I mean her family is dead." Dean said. "There's no reason for her to be here."

"Maybe she wants to meet her great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren?" Sam suggested as he glanced over to make sure that Alex was still asleep.

"How do we even know that she was really possessed?" Dean said in consideration of the time she lived in. "For all we know the girls were best friends, and so when Mary died she was at such a loss that she started acting like Mary."

"I don't think that would even be possible." Sam said as he was still reading the article.

Dean sighed as his brother shot down another suggestion. "Why not?"

"Because Mary died when Lurancy was a baby."

"Why do they think it was possession?"

"Well it says here, that Lurancy started having catatonic spells." Sam said, reading off what was on the computer. "She claimed that she would go to heaven and talk with spirits. The spells lasted for eight hours, more than once a day."

"I still don't see any hard core proof that it was real."

"The Vennums took their daughter to see..." Sam laughed a little at what he just saw on the screen. "I don't believe it."

Dean was confused at what was so funny in this type of situation. "What is it?"

TPONTP CHAPTER 5!

The Impala was racing towards Chicago on a couple of the back roads. Dean was making sure that he would not hit anything as he focused on the road and getting to Alex. Although he did not have much to worry about, because there were no other cars on the road. He would occasionally glance over to see Sam still re-dialing her number, and getting no answer.
Trees were flying past the windows so fast, that they looked like green and brown blurs. Sam had left his window open, because it was such a nice day outside. This had caused his hair to fly all over the place, while Dean's hardly moved.

Chicago was getting closer by the second and Dean was starting to get more nervous. "Anything?" Dean asked in a worried and angry tone.

"Not yet." Sam pulled the phone away to press the re-dial button.

"Keep trying." Dean knew that Sam would have done it any ways, but he had to be sure.

Hope started to kick in as the scenery got more familiar. They now knew that they were close. Dean pulled on to the same road that the motel was on and Sam was still getting no answer. Even though he knew that they were practically there, he didn't give up.

The motel was finally in their view, and to their right. Dean got up to it in a matter of seconds. He pulled into the other lane to make the sharp turn at his speed. Gravel kicked up from the sudden turn, and the car slowed down to park. As they got out of the car, Sam was still trying to get a hold of Alex. They ran up to her door and started banging on it.

"Alex? It's Dean! Are you in there?" Dean yelled through the door.

They waited, but did not hear anything. "Alex?" Sam yelled this time.

They listen for an answer and got no response.

"Son of a-" Dean got ready to kick in the door, but Sam stops him.

"Wait." Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out the lock pick. "Here, use this."

Dean grabbed the lock pick and got to work. Sam was still calling Alex's cell phone.and the voicemail picked up. He was ready to re-dial, when Dean finally unlocked the door. Dean grabbed his hand gun out of the back of his pants and Sam had put his phone away. They quickly entered the room with Dean in the lead, aiming his gun around. When they looked around, they didn't see anything wrong.

Alex yelled in surprise and fell backwards off of the bed. In the process of falling over, she had flipped over her laptop. She quickly pulled off her head phones and jumped to her feet. "You got the wrong girl!" Alex was looking at Dean and holding up her hands.

Sam was confused by her reaction, then he noticed the gun in Dean's hands. He figured out that she thought they were cops or something.

"Dean." Sam quickly said, getting his brother's attention.

Dean was casually holding the gun and didn't realize it. "What?"

"Your gun." Sam mouthed.

"Oh. Sorry." Dean quickly put his gun away.

Although she had fallen off the bed, the guys were relieved to see that she was alright.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked out of concern and wondering why she had not answered her phone.

"Well, that depends...Who are you?" She didn't get a good look at him earlier when she met Dean, so she didn't know who he was.

"That's my brother, Sam." Dean explained. "I'm sorry we just barged in on you like that, but you weren't answering your phone..."

"And we wanted to make sure you were okay." Sam finished. "We were starting to get a little worried about you."

Dean smiled, "It's a cop thing."

"Well, um...I'm okay. I'm sorry I didn't pick up. I had my head phones on, and I was busy working. What did you want?" Alex asked as she picked up the mess that she made.

"Huh?" Dean had forgotten the reason of their visit during the panic.

"Why did you call me?" Alex asked.

First they barged into her room, and now they had ask about her dead friends. Talk about awkward.

Sam looked at Dean, then back to Alex. "I guess there's really no easy way to ask you this."

"Ask me what?" Alex asked confused.

"We noticed that you talked to Amanda online, before she died." Sam continued after he saw Alex nod her head. "Did you talk Kathrine too, by any chance?

Alex got a little worried about where this was going, but she still replied, "Yes."

"We would like to see that conversation. If you don't mind." Dean smirked, knowing that she thought they were cops and she had no choice but to listen to them.

"Sure." Alex went over to the bed and set up her laptop for them. "Her ya go." She handed it over to Dean.

Dean walked over to the table and set it down, then pulled out a chair to sit down. After he sat down, Sam had came over and started reading over Dean's shoulder.

Alex was starting to get a little uncomfortable. She knew what they were thinking as they read the screen. It was the same thing that all of the other officers had thought.

Once they were both done reading, they shared a look. They knew that there was more to it that wasn't in the conversation. Alex was hiding something from them and they needed to know quick, before someone else got hurt. They looked over at her, now sitting on one of the beds.

"Alex." Sam said, Grabbing the laptop and placing it next to her "What did she ask you?"

Staring at the bed sheets, Alex replied, "She didn't ask me anything."

Dean walked over to the bed. "What are talking about? It says right there 'If you just did what I asked none of this would have happened!' " He pointed to the screen and insistently asked, "What did she ask you?"

"She didn't ask me anything! It wasn't Mandy or Katie!" Alex snapped, looking up at them.

Sam sighed, "We know."

"You do?" Alex asked incredulously.

"Yeah." Sam confirmed.

"Now listen." Dean started before he sat on the bed in front of her. "We need to know who was talking to you, and what they asked of you."

Alex was afraid to answer. "You won't believe me." In almost a whisper, she added, "Nobody did."

"Give us chance." Sam said In a calm and caring voice, giving her a warm smile.

Alex was hesitant, but deep down she actually believed them. "About a month ago, I saw this girl in my room."

"What did she look like?" Dean asked.

"She had dark hair that was pulled up into a bun. The dress she was wearing looked like it was from the eighteen hundreds. Then she asked me..." Alex trailed off.

"What?" Sam urged her to continue.

"She asked for me to take off my necklace..."

Knowing that some necklaces could be cursed, a part of voodoo and other supernatural things, Dean wondered if this would be one of those cases. "Why would she ask you that?"

There was more silence as Alex hesitated again. "So she could possess me."

Sam looked at Dean knowing that something strange really was going on. "What necklace?"

Alex pulled out a necklace from inside her shirt.

"Dean, have you ever seen that symbol before?"

Dean shook his head, "No. You?"

Sam sighed, "No." Looking at Alex, he asked, "Where did you get this?"

Alex got quieter then before. "My mother gave it to me before she died...She said that it would protect me."

TPONTP CHAPTER 4!

Dean pulled over in front of a little light blue house, with white shudders. The lawn was freshly cut and had no weeds in it. There were even white flowers along the path to the front door. Everything seemed perfect, and that disgusted Dean. Nothing in his world was ever that perfect, it just wasn't natural.

"Dude, this is my worst nightmare." Dean said as he looked at the house from his parked car.

Sam smiled and said, "Really? I thought it was, being in a plane that was about to crash."

"Shut up."

They got out of the car and walked towards the side of the house. They checked to see if there was a back door to sneek into, which there was. Dean kept watch, as Sam started picking at the lock, while he was crouched down. Sam had been working on the lock for a couple of minutes and not making much progress.

"It's not working De-" Sam was interupted by the door suddenly opening. His heart skipped a beat and he was filled with panic when he saw a shadow of the person that caught him. He jumped in suprise and fell on his back facing the sky. He saw a silhoette of a man standing in front of him. The sun was shining in his face, so he couldn't get a good look at the man.

"Aww come on Sammy! Don't tell me that your afraid of your own brother?!" Dean said laughing while holding up his camera phone.

"Dean?!" Sam asked angry and confuused about how he got into the house.

"Dude, you should have seen your face!" Dean laughed and grabbed Sam's hand to pull him up. "I'm putting that next to the spoon one." Dean grinned while closing his phone.

"Huh?" Sam was now no longer angry, but still confused.

Heading towards the house, Dean said, "Oh, nothing."

Sam followed Dean. "How did you get in?"

"The window was unlocked." Dean pointed to a near by window.

"They just left their window unlocked?"

"Yeah, apparently they're very trusting people. Come on." Dean started to walk inside the house.

Sam followed Dean through the door, and locked it behind him. They were checking each room for EMF on the first floor. So far they found no signs of a spirit or Amanda's room. They decided to head on upstaires to find Amanda's room. They still weren't getting anything off the EMF reader as they walked up the steps and through the hallway.

"Maybe the town really is cursed." Dean suggested while looking at the blank EMF reader.

"That would explain why there's no EMF."

Suddenly the EMF reader in Dean's hand started to beep as he passed a bedroom door. Dean looked down at the blinking red lights. "Whoa! I think we found Amanda's room." Dean said looking up at Sam. He got his shot gun ready just in case. Sam checked to see if his brother was ready. Dean nodded his head and Sam quickly opened the door. Dean quickly, yet cautiously, entered the room and checked behind the door. The room was clear, but Dean was a little disappointed. After all it had been a month and a half since he had shot at something with rock salt. Sam noticed Dean lowering his gun and entered the room.

"I'll check her computer and see if I can find anything." Sam walked over to the dust covered desk top computer.

"Ok, I'll look around. Maybe she had a diary or something."

Sam was sitting in a chair in front of the small computer desk. "Yeah, that could give us some good information too."

"Information?" Sam looked up at Dean. "I was talking about entertainment for me, while you hack away."

Sam rolled his eyes and continued to click away at the keyboard. It didn't take him too long to get on into her mailbox. He was reading the most resent e-mailes looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile, Dean was looking through different dresser drawers. All he found was the girls clothes, so he looked in the closet, which had a few more clothes hanging in it. Dean pushed them aside to see if there was anything hidden in the back. There was a box that was burried under some clothes, sitting in the corner on the floor. He bent down and pushed aside the clothes, revealing a shoe box that had a label on it which read: Randomness is Craziness. Dean grabbed the box and sat on the bed. He took off the lid to see that the box was filled with pictures.

"So did you find her diary?" Sam said looking over at his brother.

Dean sighed with diappointment. "No, just a shoe box filled with pictures. How 'bout you?"

"There was nothing in her e-mail. I'll check her IM history." Sam went through her instant messanger history. He found one that was sent the day she had died. The conversation was so long that the scroll bar was a line.

"Great." Sam muttered to himself.

"What did you expect from a teenage girl?" Dean said after he noticed the long conversation. Then he went back to flipping through the pictures from the shoe box. The pictures were of Amanda and her friends. So far he didn't find anything interesting, well for the case any way.

Sam was getting bored from the conversation. It was completely random and they were basically talking about nothing. Sam quickly read the rest and then stopped. "Hey, I think I found something."

"What is it?" Dean said looking up.

"Ok, 1Freak, aka Amanda, was talking to Skippy87. They were talking about going to the movies, but then amanda starts freaking out. She said that someone was in her house. Then she stops in the middle of her sentence."

"Maybe she heard her dog Spike and had to go let him out?" Dean held up a picture of a dog for Sam to see.

"I don't think so." Sam said not looking at the picture.

"Why not?" Dean placed the picture back into the shoe box and continued skimmy through them.

"Because she responds by telling Skippy87 'This is all your fault! If you just did what I asked none of this would have happend!'"

"Anything else?"

"No, she was signed off right after that." Sam sighed. "I'll try to find out who Skippy87 is."

Dean was still looking through the pictures, when one caught his attention. There was a group of three girls standing in front of a place called GG's Grill. The girl to the left was Amanda and right next to her was Kathrine. Then he suddenly recognized the third girl. It was Alex, but she had short, brown hair. Not her long blonde hair, that she had earlier. "Hey! Check this out." Dean said, handing the picture to Sam.

"Huh. Well there's a connection. Hey isn't that-"

"Alex, the girl from the motel? Yeah." Dean finished.

"You think she could be the next victim?"

Dean shrugged. "Probably, but we can't take any chances." He gets ready to leave.

"Hey!" Dean turns around and walks over to Sam. "I just figured out who Skippy87 is."

"Let me guess. Alex?" Dean asked, then Sam nodded his head. "Well at least we know where she is."

"Dean, we gotta get to her and fast." Sam shut down the computer and got up. "As far as we know, she could be dead already."

"You think I don't know that?! Come on!" Dean said getting anxious about getting to Alex before something happened to her.

They ran out of the house and closed the door. Dean fished his keys out of his pocket and found the note from Alex. Once they got in the car, Dean handed Sam the paper. "Here."

"What's this?" Sam said looking at the phone number written on the paper.

Dean started up the car and pulled onto the road. "It's her number. She said to call if we ever needed anything."

Sam pulled out his cell phone and started dialling the number from the paper. The phone was ringing and then her voicemail picked up. He tried the number again and still there was no answer. He had a feeling that they were already too late, but he kept trying.

TPONTP CHAPTER 3!

They arrived at Watseka at 1:30pm, and were looking for a motel to stay at. After two minutes of driving they finally found one. It was a simple little motel with an interesting theme to it.

"Sparky's?" Sam said reading the sign outside of the motel. "I wonder what the theme of this one is?"

"Town like this. It's probably a puppy theme." Dean said disgustedly as he looked around.

Sam chuckled, "Yeah, probably.

This time Sam checked them into the motel. After he got a set of room keys, he went back to the car to help Dean unload the trunk. Once they had everything that they needed, Sam lead the way to their room. He put the key in the lock and entered the room. Dean followed him in, dropped the bags right next to the door, and flipped on the lights. They were both stunned when he noticed the theme that the room was decorated in.

Dean laughed at the town's out of place motel. "Awesome."

The room had pictures of lightning storms and lightning bolt designs everywhere. There was even one of those glass windows that looked like it was raining, which seperated the kitchenete and the rest of the room as a small wall. Next to the television was a static light, that looked like a lightning bolt.

"So, I guess Sparky isn't a dog." Sam said still looking around the blue and grey room.

"No, I guess not." Dean smiled with relief.

"So where do we start looking?" Sam started to unpack his things along with Dean.

"The Galligar's house, over on Burton Avenue. It's a few blocks from here."

"Maybe we should wait untill tomorrow to check out the house." Sam suggested.

Dean glanced up at his brother. "Why do you say that?"

"The internet said that her funeral's going to be tomorrow at eleven. Which means that her house will probably be empty." Sam explained as he put his cloths into a drawer.

Dean sighed, "I guess in the mean time, we'll just have to talk to a few locals to get information."

"Sounds like a plan. Considering that the house is probably swarming with cops, trying to figure out what happend."

"But they won't and we will." Dean tossed his last rolled up shirt into a drawer. "Alright let's go."

They left the motel and walked to the nearest hang out. Which wasn't too far, because it was right across the street. They entered a small coffee shop that was practically empty, except for a few people on their laptops. Sam sat at a table near a woman that was sipping her coffee, as Dean went over to the counter to order a couple of coffee's for Sam and himself. Sam was about to talk to the woman, but was beat to it when she asked him, "You from the city?"

"Uh, yeah! How did you know?" Sam asked with curiosity.

"We're a close little town. Every one keeps close tabs on each other."
She explained then took a sip of her coffee.

"Right. I'm Sam." He reached his hand out to shake.

"My name's Marge." She shook his hand and continued to sip her coffee.

Just then, Dean came back with their drinks. He sat across from Sam and noticed the woman was staring at them and smiling. Dean had a bad feeling of what she was going to say.

"You know it's so rare to find a relationship like yours." Marge said admiring the two young men.

Dean gave Sam a "here we go again" look. He was about to defend himself, when the woman continued speeking.

"You hardly ever see brothers your age hanging out together. You must be here for the funeral." This time Marge looked a little upset.

Dean let out a big sigh of relief, then mumbles under his breath, "S'bout time." Dean then takes a huge gulp of coffee to help wake him up.

"Uh..Yeah, we are." He put on his best sad face to convince her.

"It's terrible what happend to poor Kathrine." Marge said looking down at a spot on the table between her and her coffee.

"What exactly happened? We weren't told much over the phone." Dean questioned trying to get more answers.

"The police got an anonymous phone call and found her locked in her room." Marge starting to tear up. "The paramedics said that she was suffocted."

"Did they find any signs of foul play?" Sam asked feeling bad for the middle-aged woman.

"No." She shook her head. "It's so sad. It almost feels like the town is cursed or something."

Sam and Dean glanced at eachother, knowing that it was possible that the town could be cursed.

Interested in her choice of words, Sam asked, "Why would you say that?"

"Our town's had a history of young girls dying recently. Kathrine was the second to die this month."

"That's a shame."

Dean sighed, "Yeah. Listen we've got to get going. It was nice to meet you."

Dean and Sam said their good byes and left. Once they were outside of the building with their cup in hand, they stopped outside the door.

"So, what do you think?"

"What? That the towns cursed? Maybe." Dean looked around the empty streets, hoping to find something that seemed out of the ordinary.

"I'll check the obits and see if the girls had anything in common. Why don't you see what you can find out about the first victim."

"I think I'll ask around and find out where she lives, then check out her house. Call me if you find anything." Dean said walking down the sidewalk, past his taller brother. Sam walked back to motel to get started on more research, while Dean looked for more locals.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sam was sitting at the table comparing the different obituaries in front of him. He had printed them out to make it easier to compare them. He had found out that they had gone to the same school, but then again the town only had one school. He also noticed that they were the same age, both nineteen. The information he got wasn't too helpul, but it was a start. Sam called Dean up to see if he found out anything more useful.

"Yeah?"

"Hey, did you find anything?"

"Hang on a minute." Dean reached into his pocket for something and opened the door to their room.

"That was fast." Sam said while hanging up his phone. "What did you find out?"

"The first victim was Amanda Rhodes. I found out where she lived, died, and got burried. How 'bout you? Did you find out if they had anything in common?" Dean said walking over to the table where Sam was sitting in front of his laptop.

"Uh, yeah, they were both nineteen and graduated from the same school." Sam said looking at Dean, knowing the imformation wasn't enough.

"That doesn't give us much to go on. Why don't we go check out the Rhode's house." He said walking towards the motel room door. "I heard that they're out of town and won't be back until tomorrow for the funeral."

Dean went outside and got into the Impala. Sam shut down his laptop, walked out of the motel and locked the door behind him. As soon as he got into the car Dean pulled out of the parking lot. Finally, they were getting some where with this case. They had to figure out what was going on and soon, before there was another victim.

Monday, April 23, 2007

TPONTP CHAPTER 2!

Sam and Dean are finishing up packing up their things.

"Alright Sammy, you load the bags in the trunk and I'll check us out." Dean said as he started to leave the motel room.

"Check us out? Yeah right." Sam laughed.

"What?" Dean asked confused.

"Come on, dude. You just want to see if that ditsy brunette is still there, and get her number." Sam said folding his arms.

Dean tried to deny it, but failed misserably. "No...I...Just put the bags in the trunk!"

Sam rolled his eyes then said, "Good luck 'checking us out'!"

Dean walks out of their motel room, headed for the main office. It was a nice, warm and breazy day. The birds are chirping, the sky was clear and the sun was shining, but Dean could honestly care less. He was focused on getting that ditsy brunette's phone number. He was crossing the parking lot when he came to a black, classic '81 Trans Am. It had the fire bird on front and had a turbo engine, and it was in excelent condition.

"Guy's got a nice car." Dean mumbled to himself.

Dean walks inside to expect a man checking in and the brunette, but instead he finds the exact opposite. The brunette was not there, but an old man with white hair was standing behind the desk. His name tag read Frank. Dean was hghly diappointed when he saw this. Instead of a guy he saw a fifteen year old girl, with blond hair, trying to check in.

"I'm sorry miss, but your going to need an adult to check in with you. I can't rent out rooms to minors." Frank explained to the little girl.

"But I AM an adult! Look!" Alex says showing the man her drivers license. "It says right here born June 10, 1987."

Frank looked at the ID without his glasses on and squinted. "That says 1991."

"Are you serious?! Do I really loo-" She stopped herself short, when she realized what his answer was by his stare. "I can't believe this!"

Dean could easily sense that she was telling the truth. However he could also tell that the old man wasn't about to give her a room.

"Excuse me." Dean chimmed in, walking up behind the girl.

Alex turns around and comes face to face with an amulate. She looks up at the 6'1" tall man. This made her feel like she actually was fifteen year olds. He probably thought the same about her, being that she was 5'2".

"I'm so sorry about her. I told her to check us in, I didn't think it would be a problem." Dean explained to Frank. "My little sister and I would like to check into a room for...How long where we going to stay here again?" Dean asked turning towards the short blond.

Realizing this was her cue, she said, "Three days, remember?"

"Oh yeah, thats right. I keep forgetting." Dean hands Frank one of his fake credit cards. "Summer vacation road trip."

"Alright, let me go check which rooms are avalible." Frank left the room, leaving Alex and Dean alone.

"Why did you do that?" She asked turning to Dean.

"Well you looked like you could use some help. I mean, you weren't exactly getting far with showing the blind guy your license." Dean explained resting his elbow on the counter.

Alex wasn't sure what to say at his generosity. "Well...thanks. Just so you know. I'm not sharing a room with you." She stated in with the most serious look on her face.

"I didn't expect you to." Dean said smiled at her caution. "I was actually trying to check out any ways. Which I now realize, I can't do."

"That could be a problem."

"Nah!" Dean waved his hand in the air. "I'll just get my brother, Sam, to do it." When he said his brother's name, that's when Dean realized that hasn't introduced himself. "Oh! My name's Dean."

"Alex." She said shaking his hand.

"So, is that yours?" Dean said pointing to the Trans Am parked outside the window.

"Yeah." Alex answered with a smile.

"Cool car." Dean said while looking at through the window.

"Thanks. It was my mom's first car that she ever owned." When Dean turned back to face her, she saw the amulate again. "That's an interesting necklace. Does it mean anything?"

"Well-" Dean started to explain, but was cut off by Frank.

"Alright, her you go Mr. Weiderman." He handed Dean the credit card and the motel room keys. "One room with two single beds."

"Thank you." Dean said with a kind smile.

"I hope you and your sister enjoy your stay."

Dean gives the guy a friendly wave and opens the door for Alex. Once they were out of Franks view, (which wasn't that far.) he handed over the keys to Alex.

"Thank you. You really didn't have to do that." She said then looked at the keys. "How much do I owe you?" Alex pulled out her wallet.

"Don't worry about it." Dean said stopping her.

She felt guilty and in his debt. So she wrote something down on a sheet of paper and handed it to him "Here. It's my number. In case there's anything that you need help with."

Dean looked at the number, then up at Alex. "Alright, will do. See you around."

"Bye."

They waved good bye to each other as they headed towards their own cars. Dean looked back to see Alex grab her bags and walk into her motel room.

Sam was leaning against the car when he saw Dean waving to a girl that looked like she was fifteen.

"So did you get us checked out ok?" Sam asked thinking Dean accomplished his goal.

Dean sighed and said, "Uh, no. Your gonna have to do that."

"What?! Why not?" Sam asked annoyed that Dean didn't keep up with his end of the bargain.

"Because a short nineteen year old needed a room." Seeing Sam's confused face, Dean explained, "The guy wouldn't give her a room, because he thought that she was a minor. So, I said that I was her brother and checked her in with my credit card. That is why you have to check us out." Flashing Sam one of his cheesy smiles.

When Sam heard that Dean was doing a good deed, he sighed. "Fine. I'll be right back."

Sam went Into the office and had no problem checking out. While he was doing that, Dean got in the car and started it up. He was listening to the local classic rock station while he was waiting for Sam. Once Sam got in the car, they took off towards Watseka. About half way there they had decided to get something to eat for lunch. After they finished eating at a cheap resteraunt, they got back in the car. Dean pulled onto the road and continued to head south. Little did they now that this was no ordinary hunt.

To Possess Or Not To Possess! CHAPTER 1!

Watseka, Illinois

The whole neighborhood was quiet as everyone was asleep, except for one house. Street lights lit up the sidewalks and roads in the middle of the night. One house was lit up, which was occupied by two people. It was one in the morning, and Alex was having an arguement with her dad in the living room.

"Alex!" A man yelled yelled to his daughter. She had woken him up and he was irritated, because he had work early in the morning. "How many times do I have to tell you?! The house is not haunted! It's just your-"

"No it's not my imagination, dad!" Alex yelled back, cutting him off. "Someone was there!"

"That's impossible, Alex! The doors are always locked at night! On top of that, we have an alarm system! So would you like to explain to me how you possibly could have seen a girl in your room?" He waited for his daughter to respond, but she stayed silent, looking into the hallway behind him. "See? You were probably having another nightmare. It's completely normal to have nightmares when one of your friends die. Now, try to get some sleep. Ok?" He said in concern for her recent loss.

"Yeah...Ok." Alex said quietly, then her dad gave her a hug before she went back downstaires to her room. She crawled back into bed and pulled up the covers, but she couldn't fall asleep. The image of the young woman, kept playing over and over in her mind. What kept Alex up the most was the question the girl asked her.

After what felt like hours, Alex eventually did go to sleep.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Alex woke up to her alarm clock blasting her favorite music. In a way it made her angry that something she loved so much was used against her.

She finally dragged herself out of bed after hitting the snooze button five times. She got dressed and went upstaires to eat breakfast. She was used to eating by herself, because her dad would already be at work when she ate. When she was done eating, she went on her laptop and started work.

She was in the middle creating her next masterpiece, when she got an instant message.

Jam87: Alex! Somethings wrong! I don't know what to do!
Skippy87: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Katie?! What's wrong?
Jam87: Some one's in my house!
Skippy87: Katie, it's probably your parents.
Jam87: No! It can't be they went out for dinner twenty minutes ago! No body is here excep
Skippy87: What is it?
Skippy87: Katie?
Skippy87: Katie?!
Skippy87: Hello? Katie what's happening?!

Alex sat there hoping her friend would respond, then she heard the beep and read the message.

Jam87: This is all your fault! If you just did what I asked, none of this would have happend!

Alex's heart started beating like crazy. "Oh no." She had a bad feeling about this. She didn't really want to know, but she typed it up any ways. Her finger hovered over the enter key, then she finally caved and pressed the button.

Skippy87: What are you talking about?

Then she decided that there was one other thing that she needed to know.

Skippy87: Who is this?
Jam87: Good bye Alex.
Skippy87: Hello?!
Jam87 has signed off.

In her panicking, Alex grabs her keys and runs out to her car. She starts up the car and pulls out her driveway, headed for Katie's house. Her chest filled with panic and fear as she got to the house. There was already an ambulance parked in her driveway and saw a body being pulled out of the house on a stretcher. When Alex saw the white sheet, she couldn't bring herself to pull over. The thought of seeing another friend dead, was unbearable. She turned around another block and headed to her house.

When she got home she ran downstaires to her room. She grabbed her backpack and duffle, and packed up some of her things. There was too much pain and too many memories here. People would start asking her questions again, like the last time. The worse thing was the way they all treated her. She had to leave this town and everything behind.

She tossed her bags into her trunk, then ran back inside and grabbed a pen and paper. She quickly wrote a note and put it on the fridge. Once she put a magnet over it, she bolted out the house as quickly as possible and jumped into her car.

Chicago, Illinois

Sam is sitting at a table looking for their next hunt on the laptop, while Dean is relaxing on his bed, checking the newspaper. It had been a month and a half since their last hunt. They knew that the demons were out there and the war would begin, but so far nothing had happened.

"Find anything yet, Sam?" Dean asked while flipping over the newspaper.

"No. I've checked everything, and found nothing." Sam sighed and rested his head in his hands.

"Everything? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure, Dean! I think I know how to do my job!" Sam snapped, turning towards his older brother.

"Really?" Dean questioned, knowing that it would irritate Sam.

Sam glared at Dean and said, "Yeah."

"I don't think you checked hard enough, Geek Boy."

"Really, Dean? Why would you say that?" Sam asked in a sarcastic tone to humor his brother.

"Because of this." Dean got up walked over to the table. He tossed the newspaper down in front of Sam, pulled out a chair and sat across from his brother.

"What am I looking at here, Dean?" Sam said thinking his brother was making it all up.

"There." Dean pointed to one of the articles.

"'Girl Found Dead Home Alone' Couldn't they come up with a better headline than that?" Sam shook his head at the lack of creativity. With this job, he had seen his fare share of headlines and this one of the lamest.

"Just read the article, Lois Lane."

"Wetseka, Illinois. After an annonymous phone call the police arrived at 19 year old, Kathrine Galligar's house. She was already dead when the police got there. Her parents didn't find out untill three hours later when they got home. The peramedics concluded that the girl was suffocated to death." Sam skimmed through the rest of the article. "No witnesses...Doors and windows were all locked." Sam continued to look over the article.

"Well? What do you think?" Dean asked hoping that it was something. He was tired of just sitting around.

"I think..." Sam started. "That I must be loosing my touch."

"Come on, dude! We've got our selves a hunt and you know it." Dean smiled.

Sam chuckled and said, "Alright. How far is it to watseka, Geek Boy?"

"One. It's only 50 miles away."

"And Two?" Sam wondered where Dean was going with this, but had a hunch.

"Don't you EVER call me Geek Boy!" Dean warned as he got up from his chair. "I swear if you ever call me that again, I'll smash that, apparently worthless, laptop of yours into pieces." He walked over to his bags and started to pack.
