Dean pulled over in front of a little light blue house, with white shudders. The lawn was freshly cut and had no weeds in it. There were even white flowers along the path to the front door. Everything seemed perfect, and that disgusted Dean. Nothing in his world was ever that perfect, it just wasn't natural.
"Dude, this is my worst nightmare." Dean said as he looked at the house from his parked car.
Sam smiled and said, "Really? I thought it was, being in a plane that was about to crash."
"Shut up."
They got out of the car and walked towards the side of the house. They checked to see if there was a back door to sneek into, which there was. Dean kept watch, as Sam started picking at the lock, while he was crouched down. Sam had been working on the lock for a couple of minutes and not making much progress.
"It's not working De-" Sam was interupted by the door suddenly opening. His heart skipped a beat and he was filled with panic when he saw a shadow of the person that caught him. He jumped in suprise and fell on his back facing the sky. He saw a silhoette of a man standing in front of him. The sun was shining in his face, so he couldn't get a good look at the man.
"Aww come on Sammy! Don't tell me that your afraid of your own brother?!" Dean said laughing while holding up his camera phone.
"Dean?!" Sam asked angry and confuused about how he got into the house.
"Dude, you should have seen your face!" Dean laughed and grabbed Sam's hand to pull him up. "I'm putting that next to the spoon one." Dean grinned while closing his phone.
"Huh?" Sam was now no longer angry, but still confused.
Heading towards the house, Dean said, "Oh, nothing."
Sam followed Dean. "How did you get in?"
"The window was unlocked." Dean pointed to a near by window.
"They just left their window unlocked?"
"Yeah, apparently they're very trusting people. Come on." Dean started to walk inside the house.
Sam followed Dean through the door, and locked it behind him. They were checking each room for EMF on the first floor. So far they found no signs of a spirit or Amanda's room. They decided to head on upstaires to find Amanda's room. They still weren't getting anything off the EMF reader as they walked up the steps and through the hallway.
"Maybe the town really is cursed." Dean suggested while looking at the blank EMF reader.
"That would explain why there's no EMF."
Suddenly the EMF reader in Dean's hand started to beep as he passed a bedroom door. Dean looked down at the blinking red lights. "Whoa! I think we found Amanda's room." Dean said looking up at Sam. He got his shot gun ready just in case. Sam checked to see if his brother was ready. Dean nodded his head and Sam quickly opened the door. Dean quickly, yet cautiously, entered the room and checked behind the door. The room was clear, but Dean was a little disappointed. After all it had been a month and a half since he had shot at something with rock salt. Sam noticed Dean lowering his gun and entered the room.
"I'll check her computer and see if I can find anything." Sam walked over to the dust covered desk top computer.
"Ok, I'll look around. Maybe she had a diary or something."
Sam was sitting in a chair in front of the small computer desk. "Yeah, that could give us some good information too."
"Information?" Sam looked up at Dean. "I was talking about entertainment for me, while you hack away."
Sam rolled his eyes and continued to click away at the keyboard. It didn't take him too long to get on into her mailbox. He was reading the most resent e-mailes looking for anything out of the ordinary.
Meanwhile, Dean was looking through different dresser drawers. All he found was the girls clothes, so he looked in the closet, which had a few more clothes hanging in it. Dean pushed them aside to see if there was anything hidden in the back. There was a box that was burried under some clothes, sitting in the corner on the floor. He bent down and pushed aside the clothes, revealing a shoe box that had a label on it which read: Randomness is Craziness. Dean grabbed the box and sat on the bed. He took off the lid to see that the box was filled with pictures.
"So did you find her diary?" Sam said looking over at his brother.
Dean sighed with diappointment. "No, just a shoe box filled with pictures. How 'bout you?"
"There was nothing in her e-mail. I'll check her IM history." Sam went through her instant messanger history. He found one that was sent the day she had died. The conversation was so long that the scroll bar was a line.
"Great." Sam muttered to himself.
"What did you expect from a teenage girl?" Dean said after he noticed the long conversation. Then he went back to flipping through the pictures from the shoe box. The pictures were of Amanda and her friends. So far he didn't find anything interesting, well for the case any way.
Sam was getting bored from the conversation. It was completely random and they were basically talking about nothing. Sam quickly read the rest and then stopped. "Hey, I think I found something."
"What is it?" Dean said looking up.
"Ok, 1Freak, aka Amanda, was talking to Skippy87. They were talking about going to the movies, but then amanda starts freaking out. She said that someone was in her house. Then she stops in the middle of her sentence."
"Maybe she heard her dog Spike and had to go let him out?" Dean held up a picture of a dog for Sam to see.
"I don't think so." Sam said not looking at the picture.
"Why not?" Dean placed the picture back into the shoe box and continued skimmy through them.
"Because she responds by telling Skippy87 'This is all your fault! If you just did what I asked none of this would have happend!'"
"Anything else?"
"No, she was signed off right after that." Sam sighed. "I'll try to find out who Skippy87 is."
Dean was still looking through the pictures, when one caught his attention. There was a group of three girls standing in front of a place called GG's Grill. The girl to the left was Amanda and right next to her was Kathrine. Then he suddenly recognized the third girl. It was Alex, but she had short, brown hair. Not her long blonde hair, that she had earlier. "Hey! Check this out." Dean said, handing the picture to Sam.
"Huh. Well there's a connection. Hey isn't that-"
"Alex, the girl from the motel? Yeah." Dean finished.
"You think she could be the next victim?"
Dean shrugged. "Probably, but we can't take any chances." He gets ready to leave.
"Hey!" Dean turns around and walks over to Sam. "I just figured out who Skippy87 is."
"Let me guess. Alex?" Dean asked, then Sam nodded his head. "Well at least we know where she is."
"Dean, we gotta get to her and fast." Sam shut down the computer and got up. "As far as we know, she could be dead already."
"You think I don't know that?! Come on!" Dean said getting anxious about getting to Alex before something happened to her.
They ran out of the house and closed the door. Dean fished his keys out of his pocket and found the note from Alex. Once they got in the car, Dean handed Sam the paper. "Here."
"What's this?" Sam said looking at the phone number written on the paper.
Dean started up the car and pulled onto the road. "It's her number. She said to call if we ever needed anything."
Sam pulled out his cell phone and started dialling the number from the paper. The phone was ringing and then her voicemail picked up. He tried the number again and still there was no answer. He had a feeling that they were already too late, but he kept trying.
