To Possess Or Not To Possess! CHAPTER 1!

Watseka, Illinois

The whole neighborhood was quiet as everyone was asleep, except for one house. Street lights lit up the sidewalks and roads in the middle of the night. One house was lit up, which was occupied by two people. It was one in the morning, and Alex was having an arguement with her dad in the living room.

"Alex!" A man yelled yelled to his daughter. She had woken him up and he was irritated, because he had work early in the morning. "How many times do I have to tell you?! The house is not haunted! It's just your-"

"No it's not my imagination, dad!" Alex yelled back, cutting him off. "Someone was there!"

"That's impossible, Alex! The doors are always locked at night! On top of that, we have an alarm system! So would you like to explain to me how you possibly could have seen a girl in your room?" He waited for his daughter to respond, but she stayed silent, looking into the hallway behind him. "See? You were probably having another nightmare. It's completely normal to have nightmares when one of your friends die. Now, try to get some sleep. Ok?" He said in concern for her recent loss.

"Yeah...Ok." Alex said quietly, then her dad gave her a hug before she went back downstaires to her room. She crawled back into bed and pulled up the covers, but she couldn't fall asleep. The image of the young woman, kept playing over and over in her mind. What kept Alex up the most was the question the girl asked her.

After what felt like hours, Alex eventually did go to sleep.

Alex woke up to her alarm clock blasting her favorite music. In a way it made her angry that something she loved so much was used against her.

She finally dragged herself out of bed after hitting the snooze button five times. She got dressed and went upstaires to eat breakfast. She was used to eating by herself, because her dad would already be at work when she ate. When she was done eating, she went on her laptop and started work.

She was in the middle creating her next masterpiece, when she got an instant message.

Jam87: Alex! Somethings wrong! I don't know what to do!
Skippy87: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Katie?! What's wrong?
Jam87: Some one's in my house!
Skippy87: Katie, it's probably your parents.
Jam87: No! It can't be they went out for dinner twenty minutes ago! No body is here excep
Skippy87: What is it?
Skippy87: Katie?
Skippy87: Katie?!
Skippy87: Hello? Katie what's happening?!

Alex sat there hoping her friend would respond, then she heard the beep and read the message.

Jam87: This is all your fault! If you just did what I asked, none of this would have happend!

Alex's heart started beating like crazy. "Oh no." She had a bad feeling about this. She didn't really want to know, but she typed it up any ways. Her finger hovered over the enter key, then she finally caved and pressed the button.

Skippy87: What are you talking about?

Then she decided that there was one other thing that she needed to know.

Skippy87: Who is this?
Jam87: Good bye Alex.
Skippy87: Hello?!
Jam87 has signed off.

In her panicking, Alex grabs her keys and runs out to her car. She starts up the car and pulls out her driveway, headed for Katie's house. Her chest filled with panic and fear as she got to the house. There was already an ambulance parked in her driveway and saw a body being pulled out of the house on a stretcher. When Alex saw the white sheet, she couldn't bring herself to pull over. The thought of seeing another friend dead, was unbearable. She turned around another block and headed to her house.

When she got home she ran downstaires to her room. She grabbed her backpack and duffle, and packed up some of her things. There was too much pain and too many memories here. People would start asking her questions again, like the last time. The worse thing was the way they all treated her. She had to leave this town and everything behind.

She tossed her bags into her trunk, then ran back inside and grabbed a pen and paper. She quickly wrote a note and put it on the fridge. Once she put a magnet over it, she bolted out the house as quickly as possible and jumped into her car.

Chicago, Illinois

Sam is sitting at a table looking for their next hunt on the laptop, while Dean is relaxing on his bed, checking the newspaper. It had been a month and a half since their last hunt. They knew that the demons were out there and the war would begin, but so far nothing had happened.

"Find anything yet, Sam?" Dean asked while flipping over the newspaper.

"No. I've checked everything, and found nothing." Sam sighed and rested his head in his hands.

"Everything? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure, Dean! I think I know how to do my job!" Sam snapped, turning towards his older brother.

"Really?" Dean questioned, knowing that it would irritate Sam.

Sam glared at Dean and said, "Yeah."

"I don't think you checked hard enough, Geek Boy."

"Really, Dean? Why would you say that?" Sam asked in a sarcastic tone to humor his brother.

"Because of this." Dean got up walked over to the table. He tossed the newspaper down in front of Sam, pulled out a chair and sat across from his brother.

"What am I looking at here, Dean?" Sam said thinking his brother was making it all up.

"There." Dean pointed to one of the articles.

"'Girl Found Dead Home Alone' Couldn't they come up with a better headline than that?" Sam shook his head at the lack of creativity. With this job, he had seen his fare share of headlines and this one of the lamest.

"Just read the article, Lois Lane."

"Wetseka, Illinois. After an annonymous phone call the police arrived at 19 year old, Kathrine Galligar's house. She was already dead when the police got there. Her parents didn't find out untill three hours later when they got home. The peramedics concluded that the girl was suffocated to death." Sam skimmed through the rest of the article. "No witnesses...Doors and windows were all locked." Sam continued to look over the article.

"Well? What do you think?" Dean asked hoping that it was something. He was tired of just sitting around.

"I think..." Sam started. "That I must be loosing my touch."

"Come on, dude! We've got our selves a hunt and you know it." Dean smiled.

Sam chuckled and said, "Alright. How far is it to watseka, Geek Boy?"

"One. It's only 50 miles away."

"And Two?" Sam wondered where Dean was going with this, but had a hunch.

"Don't you EVER call me Geek Boy!" Dean warned as he got up from his chair. "I swear if you ever call me that again, I'll smash that, apparently worthless, laptop of yours into pieces." He walked over to his bags and started to pack.
