Sam and Dean are finishing up packing up their things.
"Alright Sammy, you load the bags in the trunk and I'll check us out." Dean said as he started to leave the motel room.
"Check us out? Yeah right." Sam laughed.
"What?" Dean asked confused.
"Come on, dude. You just want to see if that ditsy brunette is still there, and get her number." Sam said folding his arms.
Dean tried to deny it, but failed misserably. "No...I...Just put the bags in the trunk!"
Sam rolled his eyes then said, "Good luck 'checking us out'!"
Dean walks out of their motel room, headed for the main office. It was a nice, warm and breazy day. The birds are chirping, the sky was clear and the sun was shining, but Dean could honestly care less. He was focused on getting that ditsy brunette's phone number. He was crossing the parking lot when he came to a black, classic '81 Trans Am. It had the fire bird on front and had a turbo engine, and it was in excelent condition.
"Guy's got a nice car." Dean mumbled to himself.
Dean walks inside to expect a man checking in and the brunette, but instead he finds the exact opposite. The brunette was not there, but an old man with white hair was standing behind the desk. His name tag read Frank. Dean was hghly diappointed when he saw this. Instead of a guy he saw a fifteen year old girl, with blond hair, trying to check in.
"I'm sorry miss, but your going to need an adult to check in with you. I can't rent out rooms to minors." Frank explained to the little girl.
"But I AM an adult! Look!" Alex says showing the man her drivers license. "It says right here born June 10, 1987."
Frank looked at the ID without his glasses on and squinted. "That says 1991."
"Are you serious?! Do I really loo-" She stopped herself short, when she realized what his answer was by his stare. "I can't believe this!"
Dean could easily sense that she was telling the truth. However he could also tell that the old man wasn't about to give her a room.
"Excuse me." Dean chimmed in, walking up behind the girl.
Alex turns around and comes face to face with an amulate. She looks up at the 6'1" tall man. This made her feel like she actually was fifteen year olds. He probably thought the same about her, being that she was 5'2".
"I'm so sorry about her. I told her to check us in, I didn't think it would be a problem." Dean explained to Frank. "My little sister and I would like to check into a room for...How long where we going to stay here again?" Dean asked turning towards the short blond.
Realizing this was her cue, she said, "Three days, remember?"
"Oh yeah, thats right. I keep forgetting." Dean hands Frank one of his fake credit cards. "Summer vacation road trip."
"Alright, let me go check which rooms are avalible." Frank left the room, leaving Alex and Dean alone.
"Why did you do that?" She asked turning to Dean.
"Well you looked like you could use some help. I mean, you weren't exactly getting far with showing the blind guy your license." Dean explained resting his elbow on the counter.
Alex wasn't sure what to say at his generosity. "Well...thanks. Just so you know. I'm not sharing a room with you." She stated in with the most serious look on her face.
"I didn't expect you to." Dean said smiled at her caution. "I was actually trying to check out any ways. Which I now realize, I can't do."
"That could be a problem."
"Nah!" Dean waved his hand in the air. "I'll just get my brother, Sam, to do it." When he said his brother's name, that's when Dean realized that hasn't introduced himself. "Oh! My name's Dean."
"Alex." She said shaking his hand.
"So, is that yours?" Dean said pointing to the Trans Am parked outside the window.
"Yeah." Alex answered with a smile.
"Cool car." Dean said while looking at through the window.
"Thanks. It was my mom's first car that she ever owned." When Dean turned back to face her, she saw the amulate again. "That's an interesting necklace. Does it mean anything?"
"Well-" Dean started to explain, but was cut off by Frank.
"Alright, her you go Mr. Weiderman." He handed Dean the credit card and the motel room keys. "One room with two single beds."
"Thank you." Dean said with a kind smile.
"I hope you and your sister enjoy your stay."
Dean gives the guy a friendly wave and opens the door for Alex. Once they were out of Franks view, (which wasn't that far.) he handed over the keys to Alex.
"Thank you. You really didn't have to do that." She said then looked at the keys. "How much do I owe you?" Alex pulled out her wallet.
"Don't worry about it." Dean said stopping her.
She felt guilty and in his debt. So she wrote something down on a sheet of paper and handed it to him "Here. It's my number. In case there's anything that you need help with."
Dean looked at the number, then up at Alex. "Alright, will do. See you around."
"Bye."
They waved good bye to each other as they headed towards their own cars. Dean looked back to see Alex grab her bags and walk into her motel room.
Sam was leaning against the car when he saw Dean waving to a girl that looked like she was fifteen.
"So did you get us checked out ok?" Sam asked thinking Dean accomplished his goal.
Dean sighed and said, "Uh, no. Your gonna have to do that."
"What?! Why not?" Sam asked annoyed that Dean didn't keep up with his end of the bargain.
"Because a short nineteen year old needed a room." Seeing Sam's confused face, Dean explained, "The guy wouldn't give her a room, because he thought that she was a minor. So, I said that I was her brother and checked her in with my credit card. That is why you have to check us out." Flashing Sam one of his cheesy smiles.
When Sam heard that Dean was doing a good deed, he sighed. "Fine. I'll be right back."
Sam went Into the office and had no problem checking out. While he was doing that, Dean got in the car and started it up. He was listening to the local classic rock station while he was waiting for Sam. Once Sam got in the car, they took off towards Watseka. About half way there they had decided to get something to eat for lunch. After they finished eating at a cheap resteraunt, they got back in the car. Dean pulled onto the road and continued to head south. Little did they now that this was no ordinary hunt.
