SSSS CHAPTER 3!

Sam was sitting on Dean's bed waiting for him to come back with, hopefully, good news. When he was sitting there, he was able to take it all in and get some what used to the notion of being tiny.

The room was silent, keeping Sam in his own thoughts. He started thinking that if something supernatural was to attack him, that he didn't have any weapons that were his size. Even though he wanted a weapon, he was hoping that he wouldn't be this way too long where he'd need one. His thoughts were interrupted, by the door unlocking and opening. He saw Dean walking in and carrying a dog in his arms.

"We have another problem." Dean said as he walked over to his bed, where he left Sam.

Sam looked at the dog. "Is that Alex?"

"I wouldn't be surprised." Dean adjusted the dog in his arms, then got a funny look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Sam wrinkled his eyebrows in confusion.
"This isn't Alex." Dean said confidently.

Getting up from his spot on the bed, Sam asked, "How can you tell?"

"Well it's got something that girls don't have." Dean explained.

Realizing what Dean meant, Sam was half relieved and half disturbed, because he caught a glimpse of what Dean was talking about. "Oh."

"Unless there's something that Alex is keeping from us, this isn't her." Dean shook his head and tried to get the dog to stop squirming.

"Then who is it?" Wondering what a dog was doing there in the first place.

"I guess we- Wait a minute!" Dean said realizing the dog's gender.

"What?" Sam asked walking closer to the dog.

"Why was there a guy in Alex's bed?" Dean did not like the thought of Alex in bed with a guy. She was like a little sister to him.

"Maybe it was an object, like your car." Sam suggested with a shrug.

"I swear this has gotta be the weirdest thing that's ever happened to us." Dean stated as set the dog on the floor, who just ran over to the door and started scratching away at it. When he realized that he wasn't going any where, it sat down and started to whimper.

"Since that isn't Alex, you should probably go back in her room and find her." When he mentioned Alex's name, the dog ran over to him and stretched out his nose to sniff Sam, who backed away.

"I honestly have no clue what I'm gonna be looking for." Dean glared at the dog, thinking that he was some guy that tried to hook up with Alex.

"She's probably still sleeping, so check her bed."

"All I saw was the dog on her bed." Dean paused when he looked at Sam again. "Unless she ended up at a few inches tall, like you."

"That would make sen-Hey! I'm taller than just a few inches!" Sam said, offended by Dean's remark.

"You know what? I don't have time for this." Dean looked at his watch as his stomach growled. "I'm gonna go find Alex, and take her with me to get coffee and a few doughnuts. When I get back I'm going to measure you with a ruler and prove you wrong."

"Whatever, just lock the dog up in the bathroom before you leave." The dog was now wondering around the room, sniffing random objects. Sam was just glad that it wasn't looking at him any more.

"You're so demanding." Dean picked up the dog and set in the bathroom. After he locked the dog up and left their room, Dean walked the few feet to Alex's door and got out her key, yet again. He unlocked her door and slowly walked in, closing the door behind him.

The room was quiet and the sun was the only light in the room. There was a ray of sunlight shining on the bed by Alex's pillow. Something told Dean that he should look there first. Well that, and the fact that there was a small lump near the pillow. Now that he thought about it, that's where the dog was nudging its nose when he came in earlier.

"If she's not there, then she pulled an invisible woman." Dean whispered to himself then saw the lump slightly move. "And possibly have rats in her bed."

When he reached the bed, he hesitantly pulled back the covers. Right where the lump had been, he found Alex. She was curled up in a little ball that could easily fit in the palm of his hand. He also noticed that she was still wearing the clothes she had on the day before, her blue t-shirt and jean shorts. Her hair was even still pulled back into the same pony tail.

Dean whispered as he leaned in closer, "Alex? You awake?"

Alex didn't respond or move. Dean checked his left jacket pocket, before he gently picked her up. He didn't want to disturb her leg, so he slowly lowered her in his jacket pocket. Since he was going to pick up coffee, he couldn't just walk around with her in his hand. Being that it was summer time, Dean had on his light weight jacket on, which was green and had two breast pockets.

Then he left the room and walked to the nearest coffee shop. Dean ordered one coffee for him and Sam, a small cup of orange juice for Alex and a small box of doughnuts.

Sam and Dean found out that Alex wasn't a coffee person the day after her birthday. They handed her a cup, and she ended up spitting it out because she got her tongue burned. That made Dean question if they really were related.

Dean was watching the young woman with long dark hair named Sandy, get his coffee ready for him, while he was waiting. She would throw him a smile when ever she looked his way, which was often. When he grinned back at her, he got a phone call from Sam.

"Yeah?" Dean questioned more out of confusion that his brother was able to call him in his current condition.

"Hey, how's Alex?"

"What?" Dean suddenly remembered that he was carrying Alex in his pocket. "Oh. Yeah, she's fine."

Sam rolled his eyes. "You forgot about her, didn't you?"

"No." Dean said, trying to sound convincing.

"You should check up on her at least and see how her leg is doing."

"Yeah well, if I start talking to myself people are gonna get suspicious." Dean threw another grin at the woman behind the counter, when she smiled at him.

"Then go to the bathroom."

Dean paused to think about what Sam just said. "And that's supposed to help the situation how exactly?"

"Dude! Talk to her in the bathroom." Sam explained after he realized that Dean misunderstood him. "Don't go when she's right there in your pocket!"

"Oh. Good idea." Dean started heading to the restrooms. "Wait."

"What?"

"What if I really do have to use the bathroom?" Dean asked, walking to the back of the coffee shop.

"Hold it! You don't want to traumatize her!" Sam thought about what would happen if Alex were to wake up from any sudden noises. He did not want her to try and explain that one to a therapist.

Dean started defending himself. "It's not like she'd see-"

"Dean, do NOT finish that sentence!" Sam warned with a tone that made him sound like he was 6'4" again.

"I was going to say 'anything.' Give me some credit, man." Since Sam didn't reply right away, Dean decided to ask him something. "Hey Sam?"

Sam sighed and said, "No. You are not going to go to the bathroom-"

"That's not what I was gonna ask." Dean pushed the swinging door open, entering the men's restroom. "I wanted to know how were you able to call me with your phone?"

"It wasn't that hard, Dean. I can still do things at this size...And I don't have a flip phone." Sam said as he looked at the giant cell phone that he was standing in front of.

Dean checked to make sure the stalls were all empty, which they were. He glanced at the door to make sure that nobody would come in, then he checked up on Alex. She was still asleep, snuggled up to him. He figured that his body heat was probably keeping her comfortable, so she didn't wake up.

"She's still sleeping." He said as he let go of the pocket lip, letting the flap fall down in place.

"Okay. I guess I'll see ya when you get back." Sam was about to press the end button, when he heard Dean speak up.

"Hey, wait." Dean stopped him.

"What?"

Now that he knew she was asleep, he decided to try and ask, "Since she's still sleeping, can I-"

"NO!" Sam said firmly.

Dean's jaw tightened as he glared at nothing in particular. "I'll remember this the next time we're on the road and you have to make a pit stop."

Dean hung up the phone and left the bathroom, to get his order. When he walked up to the counter, the woman gave him his order and winked at him. When he looked at the receipt, there was a phone number under her name. He looked back and and gave her a toothy grin, then walked out of the store. Dean was walking back home grinning from ear to ear, forgetting about the weird situation back at his motel room.
