Alex looked up and saw a blurred dark figure wiping something warm across her head. She heard muffled and distorted sounds coming from the dark figure. Who ever it was, they were trying to talk to her. Alex tried to talk, to call for help. Her mouth opened, but all that came out was her cold breath, rising through her throat and past her lips. After her second attempt to talk, she saw a second figure lean in closer to her. "They're going to kill me." Alex thought to herself.
The second figure made some small movements, then she saw what looked like an arm coming right at her. She tried to move, tried to get away, but she couldn't. The muscles in her body were too weak to move. Alex had no other choice, but to watch as the arm came closer. "No. Please? Don't kill me." Alex thought with a tear rolling down her cheek.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Dean stopped moving his hand when he saw a tear run down Alex's cheek. He looked into her half open eyes and could see her fear. "Alex?" Dean said more softly then before.
"Alex we're not going to hurt you." Sam reassured her. "We're trying to help you." Sam said as he wiped her tear away with his thumb. As he did this, he felt Alex wince in pain. Sam lightly brushed her hair out of her face revealing a darkened purple mark that stretched from her eye to her cheek.
After seeing the bruise Sam and Dean exchanged worried glances. The mark proved that Alex didn't fall, but she was attacked.
"Alex, who did this to you?" Dean asked.
They both sat there and watched as Alex struggled to talk. Although her voice was scratchy, Sam and Dean were glad that she was able to talk...or at least try to.
"I...I d-d..." Alex murmured in a stutter.
"Ok, why don't we get you out of here and dry you off first. Does that sound good?" Dean asked and saw Alex slowly nod her head. "Ok."
Sam got up and grabbed the towels off the rack and layed one on the ground.
Dean slides his left arm under Alex's legs and slid his other arm under her back, which caused another wince of pain. He lifted her up and water started to lightly pour, then drip off of her. Dean carried her over to the towel and layed her down. Sam handed Dean a towel and they started to dry her off. She was still wet, so they used a hairdryer to dry off her clothes most of the way and dry her hair.
"Alex, are you still with us?" Sam asked looking at Alex, while Dean finished drying her off.
"Y-y...Yes." Alex stuttered out in a hoarse whisper.
"Good. I'm going to carry you to your bed now, alright?" Sam informed her.
Alex nodded her head, then Sam picked her up and carried her out of the bathroom. Dean pulled her clothes off the bed and pulled back the one blanket that was left on her bed. Once Sam had her body over the bed, he lowered her down, making sure her head rested on the pillow. When Sam pulled his arm out from under Alex's back, part of her shirt lifted up. The skin on her side was the same shade of purple as her face.
"Dean." Sam said getting his brother's attention. "Look at this."
Dean walked over to his side and bent over to get a better look. There was various bruises all over her side and they saw a few leading to her back.
"Alex, we need to look at your back, ok?" Sam asked her.
"O-ok." Alex whispered weakly.
They both carefully placed their hands on her side and rolled her a bit.
"Oh my God." Sam whispered in shock at what he saw.
Half of Alex's back was covered in bruises.
"I'm gonna kill the son of a b*tch that did this." Dean growled.
Sam saw something odd, so he leaned in closer to get a better look. "Hey, do you see that?"
"What is that? A shoe print?" Dean said squinting his eyes a little.
Sam got out his cell phone and took a picture of the mark. When he was done, they layed her back down. After they layed her down, Sam and Dean pulled the last blanket left on the bed up to her neck. Dean picked up the blanket off the floor and layed it on top of her, while Sam grabbed the one that was on Hana.
Hana's baby blanket was warm again, so he took the bigger blanket off of her when he had put her back into the crib. Dean helped Sam put the last blanket on top of Alex. Alex was now nicely bundled up, but she was understandably shivering.
"I'm going to find that doctor. Maybe there's something he can do for her." Dean whispered to Sam.
"Ok. I'll stay here and..." Sam trailed off when he head Alex make a noise.
"M-murder." Alex whispered.
"What did you say?" Dean asked walking over to Alex.
"M-murder me." She whispered again.
"Nobody is going to murder you. Don't worry." Dean assured Alex. "Your throat sounds really dry, maybe we should get you something to drink before we get the doctor."
"O-ok."
"How about a nice hot chocolate milk. Would you like that?" Dean asked with a smile.
Alex smiled a little and nodded her head.
"Ok. Sam?" Dean asked turning towards Sam. "Could run down to the cafeteria and get a couple of hot chocolate milks. Oh and, uh, get yourself a little something too while you're at." Dean said with smirk.
Sam glared at Dean, "I'll go, but only because she's sick." Sam stops as he's walking towards the door. "Oh and don't forget, Hana needs her breakfast." Sam said with a smirk tossing the warm washcloth over to Dean. "There's a bottle in the fridge, just warm up." Sam then left the room.
Dean faced back to Alex and started stroking her head with the warm cloth. "Do you remember who did this to you?"
Alex thought about it and tried to remember. "Cell ph-ph-phone."
"Where's your cell phone?" Dean asked, wondering if that's what she meant. "I set it on the dresser."
"N-No. B-Bal-c-cony l-ledge." Alex said shakily pointing towards the balcony.
"Ok, ok, ok. Just take it easy." Dean said as he gently grabbed her arm and lowered it back down. "So, let me see if I get this right. Your cell phone fell off of the balcony ledge?"
Alex nodded her head.
"Then you went to get it and somebody attacked you?"
"I d-don't remember." Alex whispered looking scared.
"It's ok, we'll figure it out." Dean noticed the rag was getting dry and cold. "I'm gonna soak this in the sink with warm water, then I'm gonna feed Hana. I'll be in here the whole time if you need anything."
Dean got up and walked into the bathroom leaving Alex all alone. She heard the water running and started to drift into a daze. Random images started running through her head. They were from her nightmares. She had to make them go away. If Dean or Sam noticed, they would start asking questions. Questions that she wasn't ready to answer. She closed her eyes and counted to ten in her head.
When Alex opened her eyes the room was empty and quiet. She had this feeling, like something was wrong. Then she heard a door knob turn followed by the sound of footsteps. She started to panic a little, remembering the woman in the cloak. Her fears were realized when she saw a shadow moving by the door. As the figured stepped into view, she saw the same long black cloak. The hood was covering the person's face as they walked over to Hana's crib.
"No." Alex whispered with her eyes watering up.
The figure looked up at her with an evil smirk. Then Alex saw an icicle in their hands and they lowered it into the crib. Hana's crying had stopped. "NO!" Alex screamed as loud as she could.
The noise caused the figure to pull the red icicle out of the crib and run over to Alex. Her heart skipped a beat as the figure came closer to her at an alarming pace. She tried to move, but her muscles were still too weak. When they came up to her side, Alex recognized who it was. The person that was trying to kill her was Dean, and he was still coming at her.
"HELP!" Alex screamed causing her throat to ache in pain.
Dean put his hand over her mouth to get Alex to stop screaming. After he removed his hands he saw tears running down Alex's face.
"P-Please d-d-don't k-kill me." Alex cried weakly.
"Alex, it's just me. I'm not going to kill you or hurt you." Dean looked at Alex worried and confused. He didn't know what was going on with her, but he could tell that she was afraid. She was afraid of him. He looked into her eyes and saw that she was staring at his hand. When Dean looked down, all he saw was the baby bottle. "This? Is this what you're afraid of?" Dean asked holding up the bottle.
All of a sudden Sam came into the room with three chocolate milks. He looked a little worried, but sighed with relief when he didn't see anything wrong.
"What happened?" Sam asked sounding out of breath. "I heard her calling for help."
"I don't know. I was just about to pick up Hana, then she started yelling and panicking." Dean explained, then looked at Alex. "I think she's hallucinating."
"Dean, get that doctor." Sam said while looking at Alex's sweat covered face. "I have a bad feeling about this."
Dean hurried out of the room to find the doctor, leaving Sam alone with Alex and Hana.

Sad!! Once again, poor Alex! Now I would like to strangle the person who did that to her! I feel bad for Sam and Dean having to see her like this...atleast Dean's not really trying to kill her...They need that doctor and fast.
Yes, poor Alex. :(
And poor Sam and Dean. They have no idea what's wrong with Alex.
There were some clues in that chapter about something that will be revealed later on. If you go back and re-read it, you might notice something. Can't say what it is though. ;)
I think I noticed it...but I don't want to say anything to spoil anyone else that comments...then again I may be wrong lol
Ooo! I want to hear what you think it is! PM me!
