IDENTITY CRISIS CH.7

"So how are we going to find her?" Sam asked referring to the woman in on the tape. "This hotel has six floors with thirty rooms each. There's no way we'd be able to find her before somebody else dies."

"No, but I know how we can find her room." Dean said with an ever growing smirk.

By the look on Dean's face, Sam knew he was up to no good. It wasn't hard to tell what Dean had on his mind.

"Hi Morana." Dean said with his winning smile, while walking up to Morana. he leaned on the front desk with his left elbow.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name before."

"Oh, I'm Dean." He said holding out his hand to shake, smiling.

She shook his hand and smiled back. "Did you need something, Dean?"

"Well a couple things actually. I was wondering if you were doing anything today. It is Valentines Day after all. Since we're stuck in this place together for a while, we might as well make the best of it."

"Well..." Morana started with a small smile.

"Come on. Don't tell me, that you work twenty-four hours a day."

Morana laughed a little then said, "I don't its just..."

"There's another guy?" Dean asked disappointed

"No! No, I just don't like to go out with guests. If my boss found out, he'd be p*ssed." Morana said looking around to make sure he wasn't around.

"Yeah, he seems a little uptight. What's up with that? I mean coming into an inheritance like this, you'd think the guy would happy."

"Yeah, right. That jerk comes in every day barking orders at people. Not as friendly as his uncle was."

"All the more reason to have a relaxing night. I promise, I won't tell Maz."

"Ok." Morana smiled at Dean. "Was there something else that you wanted."

Dean smiled back "Now that you mention it, yeah. My brother saw this girl in the lobby that he liked. They got to talking and really hit it off, but the thing is; he forgot to ask her for her room number."

"And you wanted to see if I knew who she was and possibly her room number?" Morana finished for Dean.

"Exactly. I know you probably can't give that information away-"

"You're right, but I can for a certain price." Dean gave her a questioning, but intrigued look. "If you go on a date with me."

Dean grinned at Morana and started describing the girl on the tape.

Sam decided to go down to Alex's room with Hana, to see how Alex was doing. He had snagged one of her room keys when he was in her room earlier. After he got into her room, he slowly walked over to her, with Hana resting on his shoulder.

"Hey, you awake?"

"Yeah." Alex said with a yawn."Just woke up, actually." Alex said pushing herself into a sitting position, with her back resting against the headboard. "Did you bring the soup?"

"Yeah." Sam said while handing Alex the brown bag with a to-go cup of soup in it.

"Thank you." Alex said taking the soup out of the bag. "She hasn't been too much trouble for you, has she?" Alex said, nodding her head towards the sleeping baby.

"No. She's been pretty good. Sleeping, mostly." Sam said while rubbing Hana's back.

"Traitor." Alex muttered to Hana playfully.

"Hey, you do realize that her birthday is on Valentine's Day, right?"

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked Sam confused. "Hana was born last night. Today is Valentine's Day, not yesterday."

"I know, but she was born today." Sam said, but saw that Alex was still confused. "Last night when I was cleaning my hands off after she was born, I checked my watch, which read twelve thirty-eight. Alex, your daughter was born on Valentine's Day." Sam explained to Alex.

Alex sat there thinking about it for a minute, before she spoke. "Well that is the most painful Valentine's Day gift that anyone has ever given me."

"I would hope so." Sam said with a small laugh. "How's the soup?"

"Good. Then again I can't really taste anything,so..." Alex said before taking another bite.

"So I guess you're not feeling any better then?"

"Not really. My nose is all stuffed up, my throat is sore, and I am freezing." Alex took a sip of her soup, feeling the warm broth go down her throat and warm her up.

"Wish there was something I could do to help. Maybe I'll call up Dean and ask him to run over to the convient store across the street, and pick you up some cold medicine."

"That would be nice. Thanks." Alex said before taking another sip of her soup.

"Don't thank me until Dean agrees with it, and comes back with some." After Sam said that, his cell phone started to ring. "Hey Dean." Sam said after he opened his phone.

"Dude, where are you?" Dean asked looking around their rooms for something. He looked in his bag and found his gun.

"I'm in Alex's room. I gave her the soup." Sam told Dean with a confused expression. "Why? Where are you?"

"I'm in our room getting my gun." Dean said making sure his gun was loaded.

"So you got the room number I take it?" Sam asked while walking towards the bathroom, so Alex wouldn't hear him.

Dean closed his door after he left the room. "Yeah. I'm on my way up there now actually." Dean said while walking towards the stairwell.

"Wait for me, I'll come with you."

Dean started walking up the stairs. "No, you have to watch Hana. You shouldn't leave her alone with Alex when she's sick."

Sam sighed and looked at Alex. "Alright. If you need help, call me." Sam hung up his phone and saw Alex glaring at him. "What?"

"I want to hold her." Alex said, stretching her arms towards Hana.

"You know you can't." Sam felt bad for Alex. She truly looked sad.

"Please?" Alex asked making a puppy dog pouting face.

When Sam saw her expression, he felt guilty. Her watery eyes, her red nose, were all begging him to let her hold her child. It killed Sam, but he had to be tough with her for Hana's sake. "No. She'll get sick."

Alex slid down under her covers and folded her arms. "So not fare. I have a baby and I can't even hold her. I did all the hard work and this is the thanks I get?"

"I'm sorry. You'll thank me when you get better." Sam said while sitting in a chair next to her bed.

Dean found the room on the fifth floor. Room 517. He made sure his gun was accessible, then he knocked on the door twice. He waited and heard footsteps coming to the door. The door opened and the woman from the video was standing there. She looked a little panicked.

"I'm sorry. Is this a bad time?" Dean asked sarcastically.

"Yes actually." The woman replied.

"Oh really?" Dean was getting impatient.

"Yeah. I was looking for my contact lens. It fell out when I was unpacking my clothes. I can't find it anywhere."

"Unpacking? I thought I've seen you in the halls before?"

"Yeah. I packed up this morning. I was supposed to catch a flight, but it was cancelled because of the weather."

"Wait a minute. Did you say contacts?"

"You should see all my pictures. I'm like a cat with glowing eyes." The woman muttered while looking around her floor. "Last Christmas we took a ton of photos. The next day we got them developed and we had to throw out half. You know why?" She didn't even wait for a response from Dean. "Because of these stupid contacts caused camera flares on most of the pictures. D*mn camera flare."

"Yeah, camera flares." Dean said while turning around and walking down to Alex's room. The woman looked out the door confused and went back to searching her room.

"So she wasn't a shapeshifter?" Sam asked Dean back in his room.

"No." Dean said while holding Hana. "Just her contacts."

"Great, so we're back to square one again."

Hana started crying and Dean tried to calm her down. "I think Hana's hungry." Dean's face then twisted into one of disgust. "I don't think she's hungry. Sam, why don't you hold her."

"Why?" Sam then smelled what Dean had smelled. "No way man. It's your turn to change her diaper."

"Please?" Dean asked desperately as Sam walked into Dean's room and locked the door. "Man." Dean sighed while looking at Hana's face. "Your mom owes me for this one."

Great, Dean changing a diaper...Why is he being so fussy? You'd think he would have had enough experience changing Sam's diaper, Lol! Great update! Stupid contacts...This is going to be too hard for them, isn't it? Oh! Poor Alex wants to hold her own d*mn baby and she can't! Oh well, Sam's right, she'll get Hana sick :(

Yup. Very hard. And things just get more confusing for them.

When I wrote in her having a cold, that was before I planned on her having a baby. So then I realized that she can't hold her baby or get too close. So now I feel bad, because it wasn't something that I planned. It just happened, you know?
